There are marked posts along the dredged channel leading to the harbour entrance. Keep the first post (green) to port and stay close to the line of posts to starboard. You will need a tide height of min. 5.0 ft. for a boat draft of 4.5 ft. through the channel. Do not attempt passage during high swells or winds. Reciprocal spaces are suitable for up to 34 feet. Canadian Forces Sailing Association - 48 25.60N 123 25.90W. Located in Esquimalt Harbour. Guest dock is at the outer end of the main dock behind floating breakwater marked C F S A . First 48 hours free then $0.50 ft /day. Water, 15amp power, showers, toilets no charge. Clubhouse open Tuesday to Sunday, times posted. Visiting yachts must call "Port Security" on VHF channel 10 prior to entering Esquimalt Harbour and report name of vessel, number of persons on board, and destination (CFSA). Round the northwest end of the breakwater (caissons) and tie up at the customs dock (clearly marked) until another berth has been assigned. Schooner Cove Yacht Club – 49 17.28N 124 07.98W. Located 12 mi. north of Nanaimo on the east coast of Vancouver Island. When entering harbour, favour the breakwater side of the entrance, keeping red marker buoy well to starboard. Beware of drying rocks on the starboard side of the harbour entrance when approaching from the north. Call the marina for slip assignment. Upon arrival, register at the marina office and sign the moorage book. Free moorage will be provided for two non- consecutive nights at any time in one calendar year.
